For lovers of nougat, we present an original idea of dessert with nougat ice cream recipe that can be consumed throughout the year.
Ingredients for 5 people :
- 1 tablet of nougat (soft) Jijona
- 300 ml of whole milk
- 400 ml cream (better with 35% fat matter)
- 2 large egg yolks
- 3 tablespoons honey
- A little bit of salt
- A lemon
- A cinnamon stick
Preparation :
Heat the milk and bring to boil, remove from heat, add the lemon zest and cinnamon stick, let stand 5 minutes, and remove after 5 minutes (that is to give a special touch). Add the cream to the milk and warm it.
Then in a bowl add honey and egg yolks and beat with a whisk until smooth. We cut the tablet Spanish nougat soft in two, cut into small pieces. Keep the rest to add to the preparation of the warm cream, and finally a pinch of salt.
After having beaten the cream until all ingredients are well mixed, reheat the cream without boiling. Remove from heat and let cool.
Place the cream in a rectangular cake pan that you will put in the frige for three hours and then in the freezer.
NB: During the three hours in the fridge, it is important to mix the cream every half hour to prevent crystallization of the cream.
